At Musubi, our mission is to make things as easy as possible for Trust & Safety and Fraud teams, so they can concentrate on what matters and have the outcomes they need.
Managing workflows across a fragmented tooling ecosystem takes time away from proactive work and adds unnecessary complexity and operational overhead. Some smaller teams even handle moderation manually with spreadsheets because they lack the resources to build infrastructure in-house, and they’re seen as “too small” for vendors.
That’s why at Musubi we’ve always built systems that are stackable, modular, work well with other tools, and are available to anyone. We build the tools we always wished we had, and we want to make sure our tools are widely accessible and genuinely helpful. But until now, we’ve only offered the AI automation side of tooling, and that meant that our customers still had the burden of integrations, multiple tools, and complicated workflows.
Introducing Musubi Coop
Today, we're thrilled to announce the next step in this journey. We're collaborating with ROOST to offer Musubi Coop — a fully hosted version of ROOST's open source moderation platform.
That means that Musubi is now a complete, holistic moderation solution, allowing platforms to moderate both proactively and reactively, and automate with humans in the loop at every stage:
- Human moderation and orchestration — Musubi Coop orchestrates signals (from our other solutions or from any other signals you want to include), routes results, sets decision workflows, escalates where needed, and provides workflows for human review.
- Account and Behavior moderation automation — AiMod automatically learns and adapts from moderator decisions to catch bad actors like spammers, scammers, and bots at scale, through account and behavioral metadata and risk analysis.
- Content moderation automation — PolicyAI uses LLMs to enforce your written policies consistently with explainable, nuanced decisions, and a full oversight
Importantly, we offer all three solutions separately as stand-alone options. There’s no requirement to use all three together— you get to pick what works for you.
How Musubi Coop Works
Musubi Coop is a fully hosted and managed version of ROOST's Coop, an open source content moderation platform built to orchestrate three core flows: proactive moderation, user reports, and appeals. Whether you handle 1,000 daily reviews or millions, Musubi scales with you.
It includes:
- Manual review tooling — moderator dashboards with research-backed wellness features (grayscale, muted video, adjustable blur) to protect reviewers from harmful content exposure
- Rules engine — orchestrates how external signals are called and how results are routed
- Queue management — routes user reports, appeals, and proactive reviews to the right human queues
- Analytics integration — full data warehouse with configurable charts
- External signal integrations — connects to other Musubi tools, and to any other signals you want to connect, such as translation and user reporting tools
With Musubi, you get complete moderation infrastructure, with zero ops overhead. We handle hosting, scaling, and maintenance, so you can focus on policy and enforcement.
How our tools work together
- Musubi Coop receives content submissions or user reports
- Musubi Coop's rules engine calls PolicyAI (content) and/or AiMod (account and behavior) as signals
- Based on results, Musubi Coop auto-actions, approves, or escalates to manual review
- Tricky cases and user reports route to human moderators via Musubi Coop queues
- Moderator decisions feed back into AiMod for continuous learning
- When the moderation team finds new edge cases, emerging events, and policy areas, they can be added to PolicyAI for proactive moderation
Why this matters
Musubi is now the only single vendor offering a holistic moderation solution: user/behavior-level automation (AiMod), content-level automation (PolicyAI), and human review + workflow building (Musubi Coop) — all in one integrated platform. You can use them together or separately, as you wish.
Until now, T&S teams had two options: cobble together tools from multiple vendors (with all the integration headaches that entails) or build everything in-house. Now there's a third option: get the full stack from Musubi, already working together.
This means a small startup can launch with advanced capabilities from day one. Instead of rebuilding moderation infrastructure from scratch or operating purely reactively, they can focus on policy, investigations, and high-quality decisions.
